Personal resilience

Brief overview:

Personal resilience is something like the immune system for the soul. Resilience can be translated as resilience (elasticity or resilience). The term means the quality of being able to deal with stressful situations. With resilience coaching, you will meet the many challenges in business or private everyday life consciously and solution-oriented and strengthen your personal resilience sustainably. You will gain new perspectives, recognize room for maneuver, activate the appropriate resources for your project and develop strategies.

What is the core issue:

Resilience training and coaching strengthens resilience, stability and health despite risk burdens, i.e. it is a coping skill. Three characteristics are summed up under resilience: Resilience represents an individual personality trait and is a resource that can be built and strengthened. Various dimensions such as self-reflection, self-management, problem solving, coping are coached.

Some people cope with stress, pressure, frustration and setbacks better than others. The ability of these people to cope is called resilience. Resilience is a psychological resistance that varies in intensity from person to person and can be trained. Resilience includes several so-called resilience factors. With our coaching on resilience you can strengthen your psychological resistance or as we call it "the immune system for the soul".

A strong resilience is strengthening of our psychological immune system and prevention of psychosomatic diseases. We cannot influence or change everything that affects us. However, we can work on how tolerantly and resiliently we react to and counter negative influences and situations.

Typical examples are pressure to perform at work, anger with colleagues or personal challenges:

  • Constant availability
  • High workload
  • Information overload (and lack of decision support)
  • Great personal responsibility, permanent flexibility and highly complex cooperation in agile structures ("agile mind-set")
  • Permanently establish, re-establish, prove standing and personality, especially outside of individual comfort zone

Many people focus on negative experiences and see challenges as insurmountable hurdles. Injured self-esteem, frustration and chronic stress are the consequences. All the more reason to strengthen inner resilience in order to react strongly, flexibly and resiliently to external influences and to survive crises unscathed. In principle, every person has everything necessary to develop this ability. However, it must be consciously developed, strengthened and used.

People who have a good "mental immune system" are well equipped for the demands of professional and private life. Psychologist Denis Mourlane puts it this way: "Resilient people have the ability to get back up quickly in pressure situations, after setbacks and in situations of uncertainty, to stay focused, to be optimistic and to find their sense of purpose even in extremely difficult situations."
Resilience can be learned. With us, you will learn behavioral patterns and methods that will help you strengthen your resilience and flexibility, and deal with and resolve difficult situations more confidently in the future.
